The Product Ecology Council’s area of responsibility covers product-related environmental issues.

The Council handles
- environmental product declarations (ecolabelling)
- life cycle analysis (structured data collecting, LCA models etc.)
- eco-sensitive product development (EPD system)
- industry/metal information (marketing, education/training material etc.)
