The Council
- prioritises Jernkontoret’s inputs on behalf of Swedish steel standardisation and decides how Jernkontoret’s funds for steel standardisation should be allocated.
- actively diffuses knowledge concerning the importance of technical rules and terminology for rational marketing and production.
- represents the steel industry’s interests on standardisation in relation to the authorities and other materials/products/competitors.
- takes up issues concerning the need for new standards for steel, testing methods and process terminology.
