Jernkontoret – 275 years in the service of the Swedish iron and steel industry

In 2022, Sweden’s oldest industry organization, Jernkontoret, turned 275 years old. Ever since 1747, Jernkontoret has worked towards strengthening the competitiveness of the Swedish iron and steel industry so that Swedish steel can continue to contribute to employment, innovations, increased welfare and a sustainable social development. 

This video summarizes the importance of Swedish iron and steel through the decades and highlights the exiting opportunities that lie ahead, primally in the form of fossil-free steel that will significantly reduce carbon dioxide emissions and contribute to the sustainable transition of the Swedish industry.
